EventsAll Junior, Masters and Mixed events offered plus Open and Women's events at Novice, Intermediate 2, Intermediate 3 and Elite. Primary Events at 4+, 4x+ & 2x. All other events subject to demand. Straight finals will only be run at the Regatta Committee’s discretion. Masters: Please state willingness to handicap. Where entries have been received but no direct competition is available we will contact you about the possibility of racing up a category. Important NoticesBritish Rowing Licenses must be available for all competitors. Safety and OrganisationWe ask that all competitors and coxes have read the Safety and Organisation Plan which covers all aspects of the course, batch system and safety. Leicester Regatta is held under the Rules of British Rowing and the British Rowing Rules of Racing will apply. Row Safe’ A Guide to Safe Practice in Rowing will apply. Due to the width of the canal the Regatta runs under a batch system. A batch of 6 to 8 races is held every 30 minutes with Competitors boating 30 minutes beforehand and marshaled above the finish line. After the previous batch has finished the crews then proceed up past the start, turn and are marshaled with their opposition. During the batch crews are started at roughly 2 minute intervals.
