Club Membership

Anyone is welcome to join Leicester Rowing Club including complete beginners. We try to run Learn To Row Courses for both Seniors (18+) and Juniors throughout the year. Experienced rowers are very welcome including student rowers.  To register your interest in joining the club please Contact Us.

LRC Subscription Rates

There are no additional fees charged for full use of all club equipment including the rowing machines and gym. We have a wide variety of boats suitable for all ages, shapes and sizes.

For ease of administration all fees are due on 1st November.  If joining as a new member during the year your fee will be proportional to 1st November according to when you join.  For under 18 and Cadet age is as of 1st September as per British Rowing categories.

* Recreational membership limits members to 2 training sessions a week and is not open to anyone currently competing for another club in British Rowing events.

Student Summer Membership

Summer student membership is available (subject to approval of each application by the club captain) to allow use of all club facilities during the Summer holidays 1stJuly – 30th September at a fixed one off payment for the year of £44 (3 months unwaged) for the following:

  • Former members of LRC who are now students elsewhere
  • Members of Leicester University or De Montfort University clubs who wish to compete for LRC
  • Other students who have rowing experience

Any student member wishing to extend their summer membership to include Easter and the Christmas break can pay an additional £15 per break (1 month unwaged).

Membership Documents

All new members must complete and sign a Membership Form which contains reference to the clubs Constitution and Byelaws.
